I think one of crypto’s recurring problems is that attention often gets mistaken for value. A project gains momentum, a narrative forms, and participation rises, but that does not always translate into lasting usefulness. I have seen this before.
That is why Genius Terminal stands out to me, though not for the reasons many might expect. What interests me is the problem it appears to address rather than the claims surrounding it. Questions around ownership, attribution, and coordination remain unresolved across much of crypto.
From my view, the real test is not whether the product attracts attention today, but whether its incentives remain useful over time. I do not fully trust it, but I find it worth watching.
The more I sit with it, the more I think the important story is not the terminal itself. It is the larger question underneath: how digital systems assign value, ownership, and credit. I respect the attempt more than I trust the outcome, but those are often the projects that deserve attention.
