✅ What is Falcon Finance
Falcon Finance is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol aiming to build a “universal collateral infrastructure”: meaning it enables users and institutions to deposit a wide range of liquid assets (cryptos, stablecoins, tokenized real-world assets, etc.) and convert them into USD-pegged on-chain liquidity.
Its core stablecoin is USDf — a synthetic dollar issued when you deposit eligible collateral. Then there’s sUSDf, a yield-bearing version of USDf, for users who stake USDf to earn yield.
Falcon also has a native governance/utility token FF. This token is used for governance, staking, and unlocking ecosystem incentives.
So in short: deposit collateral → mint USDf → stake to get yield (sUSDf) → optionally use FF to participate in governance or unlock other perks.
📈 Recent Developments & Metrics (2025)
In September 2025, Falcon Finance launched its FF token and reportedly had reached nearly US$2 billion in total value locked (TVL), with about US$1.9 billion USDf in circulation.
Shortly after launch, FF began being listed on exchanges (e.g. trading pairs like FF/USDT) — making it accessible to regular crypto traders.
In August 2025, the protocol established a dedicated on-chain insurance fund (initially seeded with US$10 million) — reflecting an increased emphasis on risk management and institutional-grade safety.
Falcon also expanded its infrastructure: adopting interoperability standards for cross-chain transfers of USDf (via a well-known oracle/interoperability system) — enabling USDf to move across blockchains more securely.
