Prediction market platform Polymarket suspects its competitor Kalshi of engaging in industrial espionage targeting its New York office and employees. According to Odaily, Polymarket's marketing director confirmed that the company is conducting an internal investigation, citing numerous coincidences that raise suspicions of Kalshi's ill intentions.

Polymarket has compiled a file named 'Imitators,' documenting around a dozen suspicious incidents. These include a planned free grocery pop-up event by Polymarket on February 12, which Kalshi launched a similar event approximately nine days earlier. Additionally, Polymarket intended to announce a perpetual contract product on April 21, but about an hour before the announcement, tech media outlet The Information reported that Kalshi was also preparing to launch a similar product.

Polymarket employees are also concerned about the potential risk of Kalshi's venture capital supporter, Paradigm, whose office is located opposite Polymarket's, possibly spying on their computer screens. It is reported that Polymarket installed window films in some offices this spring to mitigate this risk.

In response, a spokesperson for Kalshi denied all allegations, describing Polymarket's suspicions as 'sad and almost delusional.'
