*GENIUS/USDT: What You Need to Know About the Token & Pair*
“GENIUS USDT” usually refers to two things: 1) the *GENIUS token* traded against *USDT*, and 2) confusion with the *GENIUS Act* for stablecoins. Here’s the breakdown.
*1. What is GENIUS Token?*
GENIUS is the native token of *Genius Terminal* - described as “the first private and final onchain terminal”.

Note: There are multiple GENIUS tokens. Another “Genius” on Pancakeswap V2 has price $0.000001101 b21c with tiny liquidity $39.63. Always check contract address.
*3. Don’t Confuse With “GENIUS Act”*
The *GENIUS Act* = “Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins”. Signed July 18, 2025, it’s the first U.S. federal law regulating stablecoins like USDT and USDC.
Because of this, Tether launched *USAT* - a U.S.-compliant stablecoin issued by Anchorage Digital Bank under GENIUS Act rules 925d. USDT remains legal to hold but U.S. exchanges/custodians must use GENIUS Act-compliant stablecoins like USDC or USAT for commercial settlement.
So “GENIUS USDT” is NOT the stablecoin from the GENIUS Act. GENIUS is a separate DeFi trading token, and USDT is just the quote currency it trades against.
*Risk note*: Crypto is volatile. GENIUS is down ∼43% from its $0.9378 ATH and down ∼21% in the last month. Always DYOR and check contract addresses before trading.
