Injective is a high-performance Layer-1 blockchain tailored for decentralized finance (DeFi), built on the Cosmos SDK with a Tendermint Proof-of-Stake consensus. Its core features include a fully on-chain order book for spot and derivatives trading, cross-chain interoperability (via IBC and EVM-compatibility), and support for DApps such as exchanges, prediction markets, and more.

The native INJ token powers the ecosystem — it’s used for staking to secure the network, governance to vote on protocol changes, transaction and trading fees, and as collateral for derivatives and other services.
