🔴 U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday, December 23, that he wants the next chair of the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates if the markets are in good shape.

📌 Trump added in a post on the "Truth Social" platform:

"Anyone who disagrees with me will not become the chair of the Federal Reserve."

📌 The U.S. president stated:

"Today’s financial news was great, as GDP rose by 4.2% compared to the expected 2.5%, despite the negative pressures from the recent government shutdown."

📌 Trump further remarked:

"In the current market, when there is good news, the markets remain stable or decline, because Wall Street's mindset has changed. In the past, good news would drive the markets up, but today, when positive news comes out, the markets drop because everyone expects interest rates to be raised immediately to combat potential inflation."

📌 Trump concluded his post by saying:

"Inflation will take care of itself, and if it doesn't, we can always raise interest rates at the right time. But the right time is not to curb the rises that could boost our country’s GDP."
