Trust Wallet Incident – More Than $6 Million Drained From User Wallets
Over the past few hours, the crypto community has reported multiple cases of abnormal fund withdrawals from Trust Wallet user accounts.
Trust Wallet has officially confirmed a security incident that only affects the Browser Extension version 2.68. Users who are currently using Trust Wallet on a web browser are advised to check immediately. If the extension is on version 2.68, it should be disabled and updated to version 2.69 as soon as possible.
According to on-chain investigator ZachXBT, hundreds of wallets have been affected, with total losses estimated at over $6 million. This figure is based solely on the initial list of hacker-linked wallet addresses and spans multiple networks, including EVM chains, Bitcoin, and Solana.
Users who access Trust Wallet via mobile devices or other extension versions are not affected by this issue.
Trust Wallet stated that it is urgently addressing and investigating the incident and will continue to provide updates to the community as more information becomes available.
