@Walrus 🦭/acc is treating large blobs ( videos, image, NFTs and files) of data like decentralized valuable which actually data is. Data storage is centralized most of the cases like web applications and AI applications use cloud storage held by large organizations like Microsoft and Google. Many applications use server storage owned by large Enterprises.
When data is decentralized there always looms the fear of temperedness, cyber attacks and manipulation of data.
But thanks to #Walrus data is stored in decentralized manner. Data is spilited into blobs and spread across the every node of network, for this walrus is using Sui blockchain to cinsensus mechanism.
Evey blob is stored on walrus can be verified when it is retrieved because every blob has unique criptograpic id which makes sure data you retrieved is origanl and cannot be altered.
$WAL the native token is used to incentives the storege hosts. WAL token used for the purpose fee for storage. Every blockchain and network needs motivation for active participants in network which make the blockchain alive.
