According to Odaily, the Zcash Foundation has announced the deployment of five new DNS seed nodes in response to the Electric Coin Company's (ECC) decision to cease operations of its DNS seed nodes on January 8. These new nodes are located in South Carolina and Oregon in the United States, as well as in Belgium, Germany, and Finland in Europe.
With the addition of these nodes, the total number of DNS seed nodes operated by the Zcash Foundation has reached six. This expansion aims to ensure reliable node discovery for users and improve the startup performance of wallets and nodes. Furthermore, the Zcash Foundation is considering further deployments in other regions to enhance coverage and reliability. Shielded Labs is also working on deploying additional seed nodes.
