X (old Twitter) just banned some bad apps today.
These apps paid people money (or crypto tokens) to post or reply on X.
Example: “Post about our coin, get $0.01” → people and bots did it a lot.
This made X full of spam → fake replies, AI garbage, bots everywhere. Timeline looked messy and annoying.
Now X said: No more!
• They stopped these apps from connecting to X (took away API access).
• Bots will stop working soon because no more money.
• Many spam accounts got deleted.
Result?
Your X feed will become cleaner and better in the next few days/weeks. Less junk, more real posts.
