$BTC didn’t stall because demand disappeared. It stalled because the market already priced it in. Even with $843M in spot ETF inflows, BTC couldn’t push past the $97–98K resistance, which tells us this move is more about positioning than fear.

What’s interesting is what didn’t happen. Political escalation in the US, including talk of invoking the Insurrection Act, failed to trigger a flight-to-safety bid. Contrast that with earlier in the week, when legal pressure on the Fed sparked a sharp rally. Different signals, different reactions.

Bottom line: institutions are still buying aggressively, but short-term momentum needs a new catalyst. Until BTC convincingly clears $98K, expect chop—not weakness. This looks like digestion after a strong move, not distribution.
