On 14 January the network suffered a six hour consensus outage that froze over $1B of on chain value, but a post mortem confirms it was an edge case bug, user funds stayed safe, and mainnet has since been upgraded to version 1.63.3 to harden consensus and improve reliability. SUI has pulled back from its post outage rebound and is still in a corrective phase, but price is trying to stabilize as the fix rolls out.
