Changpeng Zhao told CNBC that he will not return to managing Binance despite receiving a full presidential pardon from Donald Trump. According to Zhao, the exchange continues to grow without his involvement, and the current leadership team does not require his supervision.
He remains a passive shareholder while focusing on advising governments, engaging with BNB Chain ecosystem projects, and developing Giggle Academy. Zhao also dismissed speculation regarding business connections between Binance and the Trump family.
He further disclosed plans to publish a book covering his prison experience and his departure from Binance, with a release planned for late February or early March 2026.
