BREAKING; Consumer confidence in the U.S is falling.$BULLA

The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index dropped by 9.7 points in January to 84.5 which is the lowest level since May 2014.

This was the sixth straight monthly decline and places consumer confidence below levels seen during the 2020 pandemic. The Present Situation Index fell by 9.9 points to 113.7 marking its lowest reading since February 2021. $RIVER

At the same time the Expectations Index declined by 9.5 points to 65.1 which is the second lowest level since March 2013. This is well below the 80 level that typically signals an upcoming recession.$PIPPIN

Consumers earning under 15000 dollars per year were the most pessimistic across all income groups. US consumers believe the economy is already in a recession
