European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde has emphasized the need for EU leaders to thoroughly review a series of measures aimed at enhancing the European Union's long-term resilience. According to Jin10, Lagarde stated on Thursday that she will send a list of these measures to EU leaders, the President of the European Commission, and the President of the European Council ahead of the upcoming summit. She described the list as a set of actions that could significantly boost economic growth, improve productivity, and unlock Europe's talent potential. The EU leaders are scheduled to meet on February 12.

Lagarde has repeatedly called for action, highlighting in a speech last November the necessity of advancing European integration in a more strategic manner. She pointed out that Europe's export-oriented business model is no longer suitable for the changing times. On Thursday, she reiterated the central bank's view that related reforms need to be further deepened or accelerated to fully realize Europe's inherent potential.
