The latest half-year sales data for Japan’s manga industry has been released, showcasing intense competition among some of the biggest ongoing series as well as rising hits.
$BTC At the very top, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End leads the ranking with 1.618 million copies sold, narrowly surpassing the long-standing powerhouse One Piece, which follows closely at 1.598 million. The gap between first and second place highlights just how competitive the market has become.
$ETH In third place is Jujutsu Kaisen with 1.433 million sales, continuing its strong global momentum. Close behind, sports sensation Blue Lock secures fourth place with 1.266 million copies, proving its continued dominance in the sports manga category.
Dark action hit Chainsaw Man lands fifth with 1.147 million sales, while its related title Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo follows closely in sixth place at 1.137 million, showing strong franchise momentum.
Further down the list, the romantic-comedy favorite Spy x Family takes seventh place with 913.7k copies sold. In eighth, the critically praised romance series The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity continues its steady rise with 908.7k sales.
Ninth place goes to the action-comedy hit Sakamoto Days at 876.9k, while tenth is held by the popular fantasy mystery series The Apothecary Diaries with 859.9k copies sold.
Overall, the rankings show a strong mix of long-running giants and newer breakout hits, reflecting the evolving tastes of manga readers in Japan.
