La Corte Suprema degli Stati Uniti ha emesso una sentenza storica con un voto 6-3, dichiarando che il Presidente Donald Trump ha ecceduto i suoi poteri utilizzando l'International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) del 1977 per imporre la maggior parte delle tariffe "reciproche" del 2025 e quelle legate al fentanyl, invalidandone circa il 70% del totale.
