• Our Grid logic occasionally stopped after the initial buy — no continuation, no structure
• Order sizing clashed with exchange minimums — leading to rejected trades
• Universe scanning wasn’t as dynamic as expected — same candidates, missed opportunities
• Logging gaps made it harder to understand why decisions failed
• And some architectural choices were simply… too complex for their own good
The result?
We didn’t just lose performance — we lost money.
No sugarcoating that.
But here’s where things changed.
Instead of patching symptoms, we stepped back and rebuilt key parts properly:
✔ Introduced a preflight check before every trade — no more blind entries
✔ Reworked the Grid logic to ensure full lifecycle (entry → ladder → exit)
✔ Made order sizing dynamic and exchange-compliant
✔ Cleaned up logging so every decision is traceable
✔ Reduced unnecessary complexity — fewer “perfect ideas”, more working systems
And one big shift:
👉 We added a dedicated Grid bot alongside our main strategy
Not as a backup — but as a stabilizer.
Because while directional trading can be powerful, it’s also fragile in choppy markets.
