🇮🇷 Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has reportedly ordered preparations for a potential w@r with the United States, according to The New York Times.
Iranian armed forces have been placed on the highest level of combat readiness. Missile systems are being deployed along the western border with Iraq and along the Persian Gulf coastline within striking distance of U.S. military bases and Israeli territory.
The country has periodically closed its airspace for missile tests and conducted military drills in the Persian Gulf, at times temporarily restricting traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
In a recent speech, Khamenei stated: “The most powerful army in the world could receive such a slap that it would not be able to stand back up.”
