Drift is under active attack, with the exploiter repeatedly swapping large USDC tranches into ETH via CoWProtocol. Roughly 19,913 ETH has already been accumulated, with swaps landing between $1.3M and more than $2.6M each.

Track the flow, not the noise. Repeated size like this means someone wants speed, not price discovery, and that usually hits liquidity hard. If books thin out, ETH can react fast.

I think this matters now because the attacker’s pace is big enough to distort short-term ETH flow on its own. When one entity can force this much size through the market, it becomes a real volatility catalyst, not just a security headline.
