man, i just saw the news and honestly it’s getting kind of scary out there. so basically iran is now hinting they might try to shut down the bab el-mandeb strait too. which is crazy because that’s like 12% of everything we buy or trade moving through that tiny gap of water.
i mean we already have the whole mess with the strait of hormuz being blocked up lately and now this? if they actually close both it’s gonna be a total nightmare for gas prices and just... everything. it feels like the supply chain is just hanging by a thread at this point.
really hope they figure something out soon because i don't think anyone is ready for what happens to the economy if that route goes dark. stay safe everyone and maybe dont let your gas tank get to empty today just in case lol.
