THE DAY I THREW AWAY MY TRADING PLAN 🗑️📜

Why would anyone throw away a plan?

Let me explain.

I spent 6 months building the "perfect" trading plan.

Entry rules. Exit rules. Stop losses. Take profits.

Indicators. Patterns. Risk management.

It was 20 pages long.

I thought I was a genius.

Then I started trading with it.

And I lost money.

Not because the plan was bad.

Because I was a slave to it.

The market would change – I wouldn't.

The plan said "buy at $50k" – I bought at $50k.

Then price dropped to $45k.

Plan said "hold" – I held.

Price dropped to $40k.

Plan said "don't panic" – I didn't panic.

Price dropped to $35k.

I followed the plan perfectly.

And lost 30% of my portfolio.

That day, I deleted the plan.

Not because plans are useless.

Because rigid plans are dangerous.

Here's what I realized:

The market doesn't care about your plan.

It moves. It breathes. It surprises.

You need principles, not rules.

Principles like:

✅ Cut losses early, not when the plan says

✅ Take profits when you feel greedy, not at a fixed number

✅ Size down when you're unsure

✅ Sit on hands when nothing makes sense

Now I don't have a written plan.

I have a flexible mindset.

And I lose less money.

The smartest traders don't follow rigid plans.

They adapt.

So if your plan isn't working…

Don't hold on to it just because you wrote it down.

Throw it away.

Start fresh.

The market will thank you.

Do you follow a rigid plan or adapt?
