Google's Quantum Computing Paper Highlights Bitcoin Vulnerability
Google's recent quantum computing research suggests that a Bitcoin key-recovery attack could be executed in approximately nine minutes if a target public key is exposed. According to NS3.AI, this scenario would require fewer than 500,000 physical qubits. The study indicates that around 6.9 million Bitcoin are currently at risk in wallets with exposed public keys.
