Genius is one of those projects I’m trying not to judge too quickly.

On the surface, it is doing something crypto has needed for a long time: making cross-chain swaps feel less like a chore. Fewer steps, less bridge confusion, less of that feeling that one wrong click sends you into a mess.

But I keep coming back to the gap between the story and the system underneath.

Execution is where narratives go to die.

A clean interface can hide a lot. Liquidity still has to be there. Incentives still have to hold. Routes still have to work when users actually show up and capital starts moving in strange ways.

Most systems sound clean before users arrive.

I don’t think the question is whether Genius sounds useful. It does. The question is whether it stays useful when the easy conditions disappear.

The market moves faster than human attention.

And maybe that is the part worth watching.
