Still amazed how many people miss this: $BTC's problem as money isn't volatility — it's the fundamental design.

Money needs three things: medium of exchange, unit of account, store of value. Bitcoin fails the first two spectacularly even when it's going up.

Nobody prices things in $BTC. Nobody wants to spend an appreciating asset. The pizza guy problem never goes away.

It's a speculation vehicle with interesting properties. That's fine! But let's stop pretending it's going to replace the dollar for buying coffee.
