Navigating Binance P2P Scams in Pakistan: A Survivor's Guide
Let’s talk about something that’s been incredibly frustrating lately: the massive spike in Binance P2P scams here in Pakistan.
With the current job crisis and skyrocketing inflation, so many of us in the younger generation are just trying to find honest ways to make a living. Binance has always felt like a trustworthy platform to earn and save, but the sheer volume of P2P scammers right now is discouraging for young blood trying to get ahead.
I’ve been navigating this space for a while, and after dealing with the highs and lows of buying and selling, I want to share a few hard-learned rules. If you are looking to withdraw your funds safely, please keep these points in mind:
1. Vet the Buyer’s History First
Before you commit to a transaction, take a close look at the buyer’s past record and completion rate. A quick background check on their profile will give you a much better idea of whether they are safe to deal with.
2. Absolutely No Third-Party Payments
This is where most people get trapped. Never accept money from a bank account or wallet that belongs to someone other than the person named on the Binance account.
3. Demand a Copy of Their ID Card
Once the buyer sends the money to your account, verify that the funds are actually there. Then, ask them to send a copy of their CNIC/ID card matching the sender's name. Do not release the USDT until you have that ID copy in hand.
4. Keep Your Transaction Amounts Small
Try to keep your individual withdrawals around 25,000 PKR. Moving larger chunks, like 50,000 to 100,000 PKR at a single time, significantly increases your risk of getting flagged or scammed.
5. Stick to Easypaisa and JazzCash
Instead of traditional commercial banks, try to use mobile wallets like Easypaisa or JazzCash. If a dispute happens or an account gets locked, these microfinance platforms are much quicker and easier to deal with when resolving issues compared to standard banks.
My Final Advice: Don't let buyers rush or pressure you. In the P2P world, patience is your best defense. Keep your guard up, protect your hard-earned money, and stay safe out there!
