Binance prévoit un hard fork (mise à jour) le 28 avril 2026, nommé Osaka/Mendel. Mais avant cela, les opérateurs de nœuds doivent mettre à jour leur logiciel, sinon ils seront hors synchronisation, c’est-à-dire non alignés avec la mise à jour.
Voici quelques points de cette mise à jour
Limite de gas fixe pour chaque transaction
Avant, il n’y avait pas de limite fixe pour les transactions et on se retrouvait avec des transactions énormes qui consommaient beaucoup de gas et provoquaient parfois des bugs. Mais aujourd’hui, la limite a été fixée à près de 16M de gas.
La mise en place de quelques BEP (Binance Evolution Proposal)
Il s’agit de quelques propositions d’amélioration du réseau, notamment :
> BEP-652 : qui impose une limite de gas par transaction nous l'avons vu plus haut.
> BEP-657 : qui limite le nombre de données contenues dans les blob transactions (un bloc de données utilisé pour stocker les informations envoyées par le L2 vers le L1 pour valider les transactions), ce qui permet de réduire la congestion.
> BEP-648 : qui vise à rendre les transactions plus rapides.
