The focus within the Terra Classic community has recently returned to USTC. The Ceramic team, known for their work on stablecoins, has once again made waves with a new application.

Through this platform, users can exchange USTC for $USTR at a 1:1 rate. Anyone who locks their USTC before the official exchange date of December 15, 2025, will qualify for this conversion. The exchange is supported on both the Terra Classic and BSC networks, and reports suggest that around 23 million $USTC have already been added to the system. Users also have the option to withdraw their deposited USTC at any time.

This new application appears to bring additional utility and value to USTC. More details will be shared in upcoming newsletters.

To clear up a common question — the USTR project is not a replacement for USTC. Instead, it’s being introduced as a supportive asset for it. Terra Classic will continue to rely on LUNC and USTC as its core tokens, though new stablecoins can still be developed on the Terra Classic chain.
