The process does not look entirely decentralized in the long run either given of a federated validator set with behemoths such as Google Cloud.
So, if you crave a signal more than "green" — stop and take a look at the boring metrics instead of following the price. What I am going to get excited about is when you start to see those transaction fees being paid in DUST during quiet weeks where there is no Binance campaign or airdrop news to pump the numbers. We expect verifiable usage, meaning not just transfers between exchange wallets but real third party app smart contract interaction. My engineering bet is to play this as an infrastructure for the long game and not a flip; let’s watch closely if the Kūkolu mainnet phase manages to attract any enterprise builders by EOM.
