Hello friends! 👋
If you're new to crypto and wondering how to analyze any coin and predict price moves, then Technical Analysis (TA) is exactly what you need.
This guide is written in very simple English so even complete beginners can understand and start practicing today.
What is Technical Analysis? 🤔
Technical Analysis is the study of price charts and past data to forecast future price movements. It focuses on price action the battle between buyers and sellers.
Core Ideas:
- Market patterns tend to repeat
- Prices move in trends
- All important information is already in the price
Unlike Fundamental Analysis (project news, team), TA only looks at charts. Super powerful in 24/7 crypto market!
Tools You Need:
- TradingView.com (free & best)
- Binance charts (app or web)
Step 1: Understand Candlestick Charts 📊
- Green Candle = Price went up
- Red Candle = Price went down
- Body = Open to close price
- Wicks = Highest and lowest price
Easy Patterns:
- Hammer → Bullish reversal (bottom)
- Shooting Star → Bearish reversal (top)
- Engulfing → Strong reversal
- Doji → Indecision (possible change)
Best Timeframes for Beginners:4-hour or Daily charts.
Step 2: Support & Resistance 🔴🔵
- Support = Floor where buyers step in
- Resistance = Ceiling where sellers dominate
Draw horizontal lines at past highs/lows. Round numbers are strong too. Broken levels often flip roles.
Step 3: Identify the Trend 📈📉
- Uptrend = Higher highs + higher lows
- Downtrend = Lower highs + lower lows
- Sideways = Range bound
Draw trendlines connecting lows (up) or highs (down).
Step 4: Key Indicators ⚙️
Start with just these 4:
1. Moving Averages (EMA)
- 50 & 200 period
- Golden Cross (50 above 200) = Bullish
- Death Cross = Bearish
2. RSI
- Above 70 = Overbought
- Below 30 = Oversold
3. MACD
- Line crosses above signal = Buy signal
4. Volume
- High volume + breakout = Strong move
Step by Step: Analyze Any Coin 🛠️
1. Search coin on TradingView (e.g. BTCUSDT)
2. Use candlestick chart
3. Check Daily (big picture) + 4H (entry)
4. Add EMA 50/200, RSI, MACD
5. Draw support, resistance, trendlines
6. Find confluence (signals agree)
7. Plan: Entry at support + oversold RSI, Stop Loss below support, Take Profit at resistance
Example: BTC at strong support, RSI 28, Golden Cross → Looks bullish!
