I recently uncovered a sophisticated HIVE scam that tricks Binance users using fake “cashback” and “discount code” claims.

The scam works like this:
Scammers ask victims to copy their Binance HIVE deposit account, then secretly modify it by adding words like:

- step
- head
- rush
- zoom

Example:
Real Binance deposit:
bdhivesteem

Fake scam wallet:
bdhivesteemstep

Victims believe they are interacting with Binance infrastructure, but they are actually sending funds directly to scam-controlled Hive accounts.

After tracing the blockchain, I found a repeated structure:

Victim Binance Withdrawal
→ binance-hot2
→ fake lookalike wallets
→ primenext
→ Binance-linked account "bdhivesteem"

The same Binance memo appeared repeatedly:
104090906

This shows how dangerous social engineering and lookalike wallet scams are becoming in crypto.

Always verify wallet/account names carefully on HIVE because even a small added word completely changes the destination account.

Stay safe and double-check every withdrawal destination.
