Fuel Price Shock & Justice Delayed: A Crushing Reality for the Common Man

The Pakistan recent surge in petrol prices to an alarming Rs. 458.20 per litre, along with a record hike in diesel rates, has placed an unbearable burden on ordinary citizens. While headlines celebrate developments like Pakistani ships being allowed through the Strait of Hormuz, the ground reality tells a far more painful story—one of struggle, injustice, and survival.

For individuals like me, who have been fighting for justice for the past four years, this price hike is not just economic—it is devastating. Traveling from Lakki Marwat to Islamabad was already costing around Rs. 8,000 before this increase. Now, with fuel prices soaring, these expenses are expected to double. How is someone without a job supposed to bear this cost?

Despite securing a favorable judgment, the concerned authorities have yet to implement the order, forcing me to file an execution petition. Although a hearing is scheduled for 7 April 2026, the financial and emotional toll continues to grow.

This is not just hardship—it is systemic neglect.
