An attacker reportedly turned just 100K USDC into nearly 50M unbacked USR, exploiting a weakness in the protocol’s mint logic. The result was immediate chaos. USR crashed around 80%, falling to nearly $0.25 before partially recovering to $0.78.
Resolv Labs responded by pausing all protocol functions to stop further damage, but the loss had already spread across the system. Reports suggest the attacker moved funds into USDC, USDT, and ETH, with total damage estimated at roughly $25M.
