#TradersBootcamp This is a good project for everyone . I like this project because that's very helpful for me . Last week I had a wonderful opportunity to participate in the Amplify Trading and Financial Market Analysis Boot Camp at The University of Stirling. It was an intensive programme which greatly developed my knowledge and skills about financial markets and trading strategies. Some areas of study covered by the Boot Camp were: Global Macro Analysis, Technical Analysis, Fundamental Analysis and Behavioural Finance. I was given the opportunity to use a professional trading software, to trade futures contracts on equities, bonds, FX and commodities in real time.
This has been a great learning experience for me. The final day consisted of a fun competition where the best trader was awarded a trophy. I would be lying to say I did not want to win! I happened to have a Graduate Job, Assessment Centre Day at the same time as the final competition, which I cancelled to be able to participate in the competition. Unfortunately, luck was not with me this time!
I did not win the competition because I had breached the risk limit. I was trading DAX with the position size of 20 when the risk limit was 10 (which I was not aware of). To say I was disappointed would be an understatement and it took me a good few days to come to terms with my unintentional mistake which caused me to lose the competition. Had it not been for my DAX breach I would have won!
