This is how I traded today.
It's about time and price.
I recommend you to use Tradingview and set timezone to UTC-4.
1. Mindset
Are you feeling well today? are you too demanding to trade? --- then don't trade if you feeling chaos or not calm.
2. PD array
Do you know PD array? if no, don't trade.
3. Time
It's just like we buy foods at market. The good price and movement won't happen all the time. Don't sit all day at screen. just pick the best time that your favourite pair usually move. that requires backtesting. But I recommend to trade in London, NY am, NY pm. Asian mostly continues from NY pm.
4. OHLC = PO3 = AMD
Choose most high probably 1 HTF Candle , then go LTF and find set up inside that candle.

- Don't expect too far which is unrealistic
- Long at discount , short at premium
- Don't oversize or lev of you can't afford to or comfortable with.
