The index measures the price of daily expenses, including rent, relative to New York (baseline = 100). If a country has an index of 80, prices are 20% lower than in New York. Scores above 100 indicate higher daily expenses.
In 28 countries, housing prices have increased by more than 50% since 2020, and food costs have risen rapidly in countries such as Mexico, Germany, and Malaysia, continuing to strain household budgets worldwide.
Ukraine ranks 138th with a score of 19.2%.
