The crypto Fear & Greed Index just hit 11 (Extreme Fear), and looking at the $BTC chart, it’s easy to see why. Despite hovering around the $68,500 mark, the buying volume simply isn't there to support a massive breakout right now.
We are currently trapped in a heavy consolidation zone under intense selling pressure.
Here is what I’m watching:
The Danger Zone: If we lose the critical support at $67,000, we could see a rapid liquidation cascade down to the $64,000 - $62,000 range.
For me to flip bullish on the short-term timeframe, $BTC needs a daily close above $71,500 with strong volume. Until then, the trend is your friend, and right now, the short-term trend is looking heavy.
I am currently sitting on my hands and keeping my stablecoin powder dry. I have a few low-leverage short positions open as a hedge.
