Midnight gets talked about as a privacy chain, but I keep coming back to a different question: what does privacy look like at the language level? If Compact is the layer developers actually use, then how much of Midnight’s privacy model depends on the language being readable, safe, and intuitive? And if the compiler is turning contract logic into zero-knowledge circuits, where exactly does simplicity end and hidden complexity begin? I think this is the real test. Not whether Midnight sounds advanced, but whether builders can reason clearly inside its abstractions without forgetting that privacy is still a discipline, not just a feature.
