🇦🇪🇮🇷 Iran attacked the port ships were using to avoid Iran's attacks.

Khor Fakkan in the UAE handles 5 million containers a year and sits directly on the Gulf of Oman, outside the Strait of Hormuz entirely.

When Iran made Hormuz a no-go, global shipping rerouted there.

Cargo gets offloaded, moved overland to Jebel Ali or other Gulf ports, and continues on its way. It became the workaround to the world's most important chokepoint.

Then today, projectiles landed in the water next to a docked container ship.

This is the third escalation in the same pattern. Iran disrupted Hormuz. Shipping moved to alternatives. Iran attacked those too. Now it’s hitting the ports those alternatives rely on.

Iran is not just closing the door. It is blocking the emergency exit.
