Bitcoin rose about 1.8% to about $68,500 after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened strikes on Iranian energy facilities unless the Strait of Hormuz reopens. Trump later said he would strike Iran's power plants if the strait was not opened by 12:00 a.m. UTC on April 7. Trump had issued a similar ultimatum on March 21 and later extended that deadline.
