MetaMask developer Taylor Monahan said North Korean IT workers have embedded themselves in crypto firms and DeFi projects for at least seven years. Monahan said more than 40 DeFi platforms, including well-known names, had DPRK workers building their protocols. Drift Protocol said it had medium-high confidence that a North Korean state-affiliated group carried out the recent $280 million exploit.
