Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today held a significant meeting with a senior Iranian delegation at the Islamabad Talks.
The Iranian side was led by the Honorable Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, accompanied by Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mr. Abbas Araghchi.
The Prime Minister warmly welcomed Iran’s active participation and reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to playing a constructive mediating role. He emphasized Pakistan’s determination to help build momentum toward meaningful outcomes that serve the broader goals of regional stability and global peace.
The Pakistani delegation included Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.
