Iran Responds Strongly After US Press Conference
After the U.S., Iran has also held a press conference expressing serious disappointment with America’s attitude. Iranian officials said they could not understand why J.D. Vance made a call to Netanyahu during the meeting, saying it felt as if the U.S. was more focused on Israel’s interests than on the Iran negotiations.
They added that the U.S. tried to achieve at the negotiation table what it failed to gain through war. Iran stated that it came to Islamabad with good faith and a sincere intention for dialogue. Officials also called J.D. Vance’s press conference before leaving Pakistan unnecessary and disappointing.
