The trigger: US forces attacked an Iranian cargo ship traveling from China to Iran.
Iran apparently hit back. Hard. Multiple warships targeted simultaneously.
This is Iranian state media, so take it with salt. But if even half of this is true, the Gulf just got a lot hotter.
