Arthur Hayes has just predicted HYPE will reach $150 and even surpass Solana $SOL before this bull cycle ends. He counters bearish market sentiment: his speculative altcoin is still profitable, and the divergence between a weak broad market and strong high-risk assets suggests the bull market is still in place.

Hayes has accumulated over 26,000 HYPE tokens, and he cites the Clarity Act and TradFi's resistance. Hyperliquid's buyback program has poured over $1.16 billion into buying HYPE on the open market, creating a structural support. Protocol revenue is also impressive: Hyper Strategies reported a profit of $152.5 million per quarter.

Matt Hougan shares the same view: HYPE is a generational asset, valuing it against a global market of $600 trillion, not just the $3 trillion crypto market. Bitwise's BHYP ETF had the strongest launch since the Bitcoin ETF, with nearly $60 million in inflows. Hougan calls HYPE a "Gen 2 token" because 99% of the fees are used to buy back tokens.

Can HYPE surpass SOL? It depends on how long the speculative cycle lasts, and whether Hyperliquid's revenue trajectory continues to justify the premium that institutions are underwriting. With Solana currently having a much larger market capitalization, this is a bold bet.
