I got scammed for $970 in 2023.

The payment method? Apple Gift Cards bought with local currency.

WHAT HAPPENED (FAST)

A “forex/crypto expert” contacted me on Instagram

Moved the chat to WhatsApp

Promised consistent profits and showed a “professional” dashboard

Then they asked me to buy Apple Gift Cards locally and send the code

THE TRAP (READ THIS CAREFULLY)

They didn’t ask for a bank transfer.

They asked for a gift card code (in the following Script. XXPNQ9QP2VJK2W7L ) — once you send it, it’s gone.

RED FLAGS I MISSED (SAVE THIS LIST)

1) They DM you first with “guaranteed” profit

2) They rush you (“act now”)

3) They move you off-platform (IG → WhatsApp)

4) They show profits you can’t verify independently

5) They ask for gift cards (Apple/Google/Steam, etc.)

6) Withdrawal becomes “pay a fee/tax first”

7) They delete accounts when you question them

MY RULE NOW

If someone asks for gift cards for investing, it’s a scam. No exceptions.

COMMENT TRIGGER

YES/NO: Should I post Part 2 with the exact messages they used (with sensitive info hidden)?
