$USDC #USDT

A few days ago I noticed something weird in my own portfolio.

The asset I probably use the most in crypto… is the one I almost never talk about 😅

USDT.

Not because it’s exciting.

Not because it’s gonna do a 10x.

Just because almost everything in this market somehow flows through it.

Yesterday I moved from spot to futures, bought a small dip, sent funds to another wallet, then parked capital while waiting for entries. Every step involved USDT. That made me realize it’s less of a “coin” now and more like infrastructure.

People usually focus on flashy narratives — AI coins, memes, new L1s — but stablecoins quietly became the liquidity layer holding the whole casino together.

And honestly, I think most traders underestimate how important that is.

When volatility gets ugly, people don’t run to hype.

They run to stability.

That’s why I pay attention to USDT flows more than I used to. Rising stablecoin liquidity usually tells me fresh capital is still active somewhere in the system.

Of course there are risks too. Centralization concerns, regulation pressure, transparency debates… all valid.

But from my own experience, the longer I stay in crypto, the more I realize survival matters more than excitement sometimes.

Not every important asset needs to be loud.
