Bitcoin Core developers confirmed a severe privacy flaw in version 31.0's -privatebroadcast feature. When v2 handshakes fail, the software reverts to v1 protocol without routing through Tor, directly exposing the sender's real-world IP address—enabling malicious nodes to deliberately trigger the leak.
