POLISH PRESIDENT STRIPS ZELENSKYY OF STATE HONOR

The Polish President has signed the order to strip Zelensky of the medal of the Order of the White Eagle, the highest honour that Poland had bestowed on the Ukrainian "president".

This follows Zelensky's decision to go ahead and give the name "Heroes of the UPA" to an elite Ukrainian unit, despite the pleas by Warsaw to reconsider.

The UPA (Ukrainian Revolutionary Army) is considered by Warsaw responsible for the mass slaughter of tens of thousands of Poles, mostly women and children, during WWII. (1943-1945)$MET
