𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 🇺🇸🇱🇧Key U.S.-Lebanon talks moved to Washington after Switzerland meeting collapse
Following the abrupt cancellation of talks in Switzerland amid renewed violence in Lebanon, the U.S. State Department has officially announced a new round of negotiations.
The United States and Lebanon are now scheduled to hold high-level talks in Washington, D.C., from June 23 to 25.
As part of the diplomatic effort, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has already held a phone call with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to discuss the upcoming negotiations.
Washington continues to maintain its position that Hezbollah must eventually be disarmed and that the Lebanese government should reestablish full control over all of its national territory.
The decision to relocate the talks underscores the urgency of diplomatic efforts as regional tensions continue to threaten broader stability in the Middle East.$SOL
